GRIT 2024 Summer Internships

In Summer 2024, GRIT welcomed three cohorts of interns to Kenya and Uganda. The first cohort spent a week with Project Elimu in Kibera working on the 'It Begins with Her' research project. The second cohort volunteered for the Energy In Action Splash Camp and then partnered with Children's Chance International on community outreach related to menstrual health and  road safety research in Lira. The third cohort partnered with the Trauma and Disability Unit (TRIAD) of the Makerere School of Public Health on a study of burn risk and treatment within informal settlements in Kampala.
