Program Implementation

The Youth Public Health Ambassadors program is a partnership between Children’s Chance International, Energy in Action, and the GRIT Lab. The program aims to support youth in vulnerable communities develop the skills needed to support their communities in confronting persistent health challenges and successfully drive positive change.

Menstrual Health Outreach

GRIT Lab has been designing and implementing menstrual health workshops for over 5 years. This has included  implementation of the various training sessions focused on sanitation and hygiene, RUMP construction, and period underwear distribution, as well as evaluation research.

Kibera Women's Public Health Ambassadors

The Kibera Women's Public Health Ambassadors program is a partnership between Project Elimu, Energy in Action, and the GRIT Lab. The program aims to support young women, mostly teen moms, in Kibera, to develop the skills needed to support their community in confronting persistent health challenges and successfully drive positive change.

Youth Public Health Camps

GRIT Lab partners with Energy In Action in implementing annual youth public health camps in Uganda since 2016. Each year, the camps provide public health education and learn to swim training to school-aged youth. Past camps have been hosted in Mpigi, Oyam, Dokolo, and Mukoto Uganda.​​​
